Globalization and Structural Changes of Croatian Economy
The globalization processes cause significant changes in the world economy. The course and intensity of these changes depend on specific conditions of each country. In the early 1990s, the Croatian economy entered the process of transition. Apart from transition, globalization processes have influenced the structural changes of the Croatian economy. The aim of the paper will be to examine the course of changes in the Croatian economy, emphasizing the interdependence of the economic flows and changes in the labour market. Besides, the required future trends of the Croatian economy will be indicated, making it more similar to the economic structure of developed countries. Knowledge, as a fundamental economic resource, will have an important role in that process. It is a prerequisite for the approach of Croatia to the "knowledge society".
