The role of logistic in optimising the distribution of goods
Research shows that the utility value of goods does not depend only on their quality and quantity, but also on their location, and whether the goods are there when needed. This means that the goods have their full utility value when they satisfy the quality, provided that they are available exactly where and when needed. This brief paper proves the influence of distribution on the utility value of goods, but at the same time on the price as well. Poorly organised distribution causes disturbances in goods deliveries, and cannot meet the prerequisites of modern economic systems such as “ ; Just In Time” ; and “ ; Up-to-three-day stocks” ; . Optimal organisation of supply is possible only by means of logistics, whose role is to control the process of the product flow from the supplier to the customer with the aim of increasing its value on the market at the same time reducing the product supply costs.
