Definig funcional tool quality by constant load method

Due to, good mechanical features of composite materials and production cost reduction, application in all branches of industry is increasing. However, machining of composite materials presents a difficulty. Hole machining tool quality in composite materials should correspond, demanding new more adapted manufacturer and user's tool testing conditions. In this paper a short overview of experimental theoretic method for defining functional tool quality (spiral drill), as well as experiment results for attaining quantitative markers for grading functional tool quality.
