The Bernstein center in terms of invariant locally integrable functions

Bernstein center of a reductive p-adic groups consists of invariant essentially compactly supported functions on the group. In the paper is proved that each such distribution can be described by family of locally integrable functions on the group. Further, these functions are computed explicitly in the case of SL(2).
