Refurbishment of HPP Zakucac
Hpp Zakucac is the largest hydroelectric power plant of Croatia. The initial activities in the implementation of the HPP Zakucac refurbishment project commenced in 1991, and presently invitations for international tenders are expected to be issued shortly for refurbishment of turbines, turbine inlet valves and turbine governing systems of generating units A and B, as well as invitations for international tenders for generators, excitation systems and automatic voltage regulators of generating units A and B. Due to operational and organizational reasons the resumption of implementation of HPP Zakucac refurbishment project will proceed in two stages. By investing into hpp Zakucac refurbishment project the Croatian electric power system will gain 52 MW of new capacity and additional average annual generation of 58 GWh. The financial expenditure for implementation of the current refurbishment programme is estimated at 586.800.000, 00 kn.
