In order to analyse the deformation characteristic of steel, torsion tests and testile test were performed at different temperature in the range from 800 to 1200C. The plastic deformation of metals is a process depending on the stress, temperature and material properties with special modelling of hardening and softening to dynamic recrystallization. The aim of this paper is to present a mathematical model of the flow stress and formability map of high alloy 15%Cr, 3%Ni steel, based on empirical results
