Web marketing of small and medium-sized Croatian firms
An analysis was performed of the content of more than two hundred Web sites of small and medium-sized Croatian firms. Most firms used their Web site only for presenting basic stereotypical data like company, product, and contact information. Many content elements for successful Web marketing, which do not require much technical expertise and support, were omitted in up to 95% of observed Web sites. There was little progress over a period of 1 1/2 years and this indicated that during that period the Web marketing of the observed small and medium-sized Croatian firms had stagnated at an early phase of e-commerce.
