The role of FDI in spreading of entrepreneurial activity and future growth rate in the CEECs
The share of inward FDI flows in gross fixed capital formation in the CEECs, which has been higher than in the developed countries and the world average since the end of 1990s indicates the spreading of the basis for financing capital formation and in accordance with this, makes the growth prospects of these countries more favourable. But, the economic growth is not granted by the increase in FDI ; it depends on the quality, width and intensity of spillover effects from FDI flows, especially those related to the stimulation of knowledge transfer, spreading of entrepreneurial activity and relaxing the access to the global market.
