Tools made of ruminant bones from acrhaeological site Vlineves, region Melnik - Unetic cultural Period (CZECH Republic)

In 2000. near Praha (Czech Republik) on site Vlineves, region Melnik began the protecting archaeological exavations. In the waste pits an abundant of animal osteological material was found and after preliminar taxonomic analysis, we separated the fragments which were prepared in different tools. The bone fragments of red deer (Cervus elaphus L.)and bovis (Bos sp.) were the most dominant. Most of ulnas and metaopodial bones were prepared in avils or apexes, ribs in palette knives, mandibulae inscrapers for raw leather dressing, bur of antlers in hoes or hammers. We also found some needles and exes made of bones.
