GROWTH AND INCREMENT OF FIR IN SELECTION FORESTS OF CROATIA
Research was carried out on the locality Crni lug in the area of selection forests in Croatia (Gorski kotar). A total of 13 experimental plots was established. Their size varied from 0, 5 to 1, 0 ha and were located in four different forest communities and five ecological management forest types. All structural stand elements were measured on the plots and 14 mean stand trees of fir (Abies alba), 86 to 270 years old, were felled. Tree heights vary from 24 to 40 meters and d.b.h from X to X cm. Growth and increment were studied through the application of tree analysis method and structure and mutual relations of selection stands parameters were studied through univariant structure analyses.
