Organophosphorus compounds and esterases : Current research topics concerning toxicity of and protection against organophosphates

Reactions of organophophorus compounds with cholinesterases, neuropathy target esterase and phophoric triester hydrolases are discussed with respect to the toxicity of organophosphates. Antidotes, protectors and decontaminating agents against organophophorus compounds are described.
