Formulation of boundary element method for analysis of oil squeeze film in dynamically loaded plain bearing

This paper presents method for calculation of pressure and thickness of oil squeeze film in dynamically loaded bearing with parallel surfaces. For the calculation of pressure, it is developed unique expression, with which the pressure can be calculated by simple integration of lubricant flow over bearings boundary. Lubricant flow over bearings boundary is determined as solution of integral equation of equilibrium, which is convenient to be reduced into the ordinary system of linear equations by application of boundary element method.
