The illustration of Job from 12th century was sellected by the authors to be to be the "light motive" of the whole issue of JID dedicated to the Burden of Skin Disease. In the article authors elaborate on Job underlining the fact that Job isolation and suffering was not just pathology and physiology in the context of Medieval thinking but was understood as purifying proces.The humanities of which philosophy is the essence were offered by the authors to equip and help physicians for the personal contact with patients.
