Marine Diesel Engine Cylinder Fault Detection Using Artificial Neural Network

The paper presents an effective method of marine diesel engine component faulty signal detection. The proposed fault detection scheme exploits an artificial neural network learning and adaptation possibilities during on line engine process monitoring. An example has been given for engine cylinder pressure signal estimation and adaptive treshold prediction during engine working cycles.
