The Influence of MnS Inclusions on Degradation of Pipeline Steels
Pipeline steels degradation known as hydrogen embrittlement HE was studied using the electrochemical polarization technique. Accelerated charging with atomic hydrogen produced surface blistering and stepwise cracks spreading throughout the pipe wall sections in the specimens of two commercial line-pipes difering in steel production technology.
