Fatty acids of soybean oil of different OS cultivars
For determination fatty acid compositions of soybean oil were used ten cultivars on three localities, being the creations of the Agricultural Insitute Osijek. Fatty acid compositions were determined by gas chromatography and the method of internal normalization of surfaces. The obtained data we used to calculate the arithmetic means, dimensions of dispersions and F-test. The objective of this research was to determinate fatty acid compositions in oil of OS soybean cultivars. The amounts of saturated fatty acids in soybean oil cultivars ranged: palmitic (10.96-11.80%), stearic (3.33-3.92) and unsaturated fatty acids oleic (18.77-22.02%), linoleic (52.98-54.55%) and linolenic (8.64-9.88%). Low percentages were recorded for other saturated fatty acids such as myristic (0.43-078%), arachidic (0.23-0.29%) and behenic (0.25-0.40%). There was no significant difference saturated fatty acids content except myristic acid, among localities. Unsaturated fatty acids varied significantly between localities.
