IgG and Ige response in cerebrospinal fluid and aqueos humor. Part 2: A comparative study of IgE
The authors observed the samples of 84 subjects, i.e. 42 CSF and 42 aqueos humor samples with matched sera.Four different numerical methods by which the transferred and intrathecally/intraocularly synthesized fractions of IgE can be analyzed in CSF and aqueos humor, were tested in control subjects and in pathologic conditions.Oligoclonal IgG IgG, LI-4 and 2 microglobulin levels are also observed. The results obtained suggested that the measurement of IL-4 and 2 microglobulin in the mentiod body fluids might be a useful adjunct to the detection of oligoclonal IgG and numerical evaluation of IgE synthesis, in situations when the intrathecally/intraocularly immune response is observed by means of CSF or aqueos humor analysis. Some specific aspects of IL-4 and 2 microglobulin behavior in CSF, aqueos humor and serum are briefly discussed.
