Contribution of Croatian participants to national symposia and international congresses on radiation protection (1992-2004)
The Croatian Radiation Protection Association (CRPA) was founded in 1979 in the frame of the Yugoslav Radiation Protection Association. Since 1991 CRPA acted as an independent organization and in 1992 became a regular member of the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA). CRPA has a membership of 154 scientists and specialists from Croatia. Five symposia of the Croatian Radiation Protection Association with international participation were organized after 1991 (in 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2003). The number of presented papers varied about 60 at these symposia. The proceedings of all symposia were printed in Croatian with extended abstracts in English. CRPA takes part in organization of regional and European IRPA congresses and its members also participate in IRPA world congresses. In this paper we analyze the participation of Croatian authors in national symposia and international IRPA congresses in the period 1992 - 2004 on the basis of published books of abstracts and proceedings.
