Surface pH and colour change of a wood exposed to weathering

Both the physical and chemical surface characteristics of wood are changed during weathering. To learn more about these changes, spectrophotometric and pH measurements were made on fir wood and oak wood samples after natural and accelerated weathering cycles to determine pH and colour changes of wood surface. Learning more about these changes will help us to protect wood in more efficient way.
