Basic traveling Waves in interleaved Transformer Windings

Multi conductor transmission line theory is applied to the numeric analysis of the very fast electromagnetic transients in interleaved transformer windings. The winding is considered as consisting of the distorsionless line segments connected through the discrete irregularities at terminal and at the interleaving crossover. The equations from boundary conditions are transferred to the form that provides transparency of the current reflections on the crossover irregularity. An additional reduced low order model for quasi-stationary states is announced with partial results that give evidence in the most important effects of interleaving to the fast electromagnetic transients.
