Influence of location and genotype on the N, P and K concentration in the above ground part of alfalfa
The invetigstion described in this paper were conducted in the year 1994.The field trial was established on two locations in eastern Croatia:Osijek (L-1) and Petrijevci (L-2).Ten alfalfa genotypes were selected from the gen collection of Agricultural Institute in Osijek and sowed on 1m2 plots by the random block system with four replicates. The aboveground parts of alfalfa plants was harvwested at three occasions from bud stage till blassom. The fersh weight and dry matter content were determined in every cutting while the concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium were determined in plant dry matter in third cutting. The statistical analyses showed signifficant differences among the locations by all tested parameters. The differents among genotypes were also signifficant by all parameters except dry matter content.
