Printing with the increased ink layers

In order to achieve greater attractivity of prints, it is sometimes not printed with standard ink layer, but with the thicker layer and higher ink density resulting in specials effects. Today it is mostly printed in conventional offset, but the tendency is printing in digital printing techniques. The printing possibilities with greater ink deposits than the standard one, on three usual printing substrates with all three printing techniques: conventional offset, Indigo offset and Xerox indirect printing technique have been investigated in this article. The adapted test form was made for printing. The relationships D, Ds, Krel, and Dsp in relation to the ink layer thickness have been investigated. All the prints are evaluated by the average observer. Based on all these data, the cognitions on printing possibilities with the ink layer which does not correspond to the standard ones are obtained.
