Modified parameter adaptation algorithm for servo system control
The model reference adaptive control algorithm is discussed. Algorithm robustness to the disturbance, reference signal level and the signal limitations in the plant is increased by modification of the original algorithm. The algorithm can be modified by application of the sigma modification, the dead zone and signal normalization. The results of the model reference adaptive control algorithm, with implemented modifications, applied to the control of the servo system are obtained by simulation. Simulation results show the improved behavior of the system, and decreased sensitivity to the signal limitations, reference signal level and the influence of the disturbance.
