Optimization of 2D thin layer chrpmatography pesticides separation using genetic algorithm
In this paper a genetic algorithm method is proposed for optimizing two-dimensional TLC separation of a mixture of 9 pesticides: MCPA, MCPP, atrazine, propham, chlorpropham, triadimefon, bitertanol, ofurace and carbendazim. Pesticides are separated on CN-precoated HPTLC plates using polar mobile phase (methanol-water) in first direction and nonpolar mobile phase (chloroform-hexane) in second direction. Chromatograms were recorded with CCD camera and evaluated with CAMAG VideoScan software.
