Tourism in a new environment
According to a majority of authors, globalization is a process of economic, social, cultural and political activities that far exceeds national borders. In his apology on liberal democracy Fukuyama foresees teh ulitimate political neutralization of nationalis under the conditions of universal centralizationa and the linguistic unification of the world. It should, however, be pointed out htat globalizationis neither as unabiguous nor an irreversible process. Namely, the process of cultural homogenization is followed by occurrences such as the demand for decentralization, makin cultural identitiy the cornestone of the self-determiantion and future development of small nations. Hence. the outlook for Croatian touirsm will be bleak in it does not come to terms with globalization as apluralistic system.
