The Significance, Formation and Allocation of Savings
One of the basic functions of financial system is mobilization of total available savings from the surplus spending units and their transfer to the deficit spending units. The mechanism of money surpluses collection is represented by different financial instruments. In the financial systems of developing countries bank deposits and credits are still dominant, and in fact represent almost the only form of savings and investment. On the other hand, in developed financial systems also exist a great number of new and derivative financial instruments, that enrich the total financial mechanism.
