SMALL BUSINESS ENTREPRENEUR AS A STRATEGIC MANAGER (A Model of Strategic Management)
The aim of this work is the implementation of the strategic management and decision-making model based on the small catering business model as well as the analysis of differences compared with the large company. Small businesses are managed far less formally then are large. Small firms that engage in strategic management usually outperform those that don’ t. However, this doesn’ t mean that formal procedures are necessary. The process of strategic planning appears to be a key component of business performance. The strategic decision-making process is a valuable tool for small businesses. The industry’ s structure, the venture’ s business strategy and the entrepreneur’ s behavioral characteristics largely determine a new venture’ s success. All the above mentioned is implemented in practice at the entrepreneurial venture “ Angelo d’ oro” Rovinj-boutique hotel.
