Challenges of Medical and Biological Engineering and Science

Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary field of science that increases knowledge in engineering, medicine and biology, and contributes to human health and wellbeing through activities such as research, development and applications, that integrate engineering with biomedical and basic life sciences but also with clinical practice. Recent advances in medicine and biology are enabled through benefactions from the physical sciences and engineering.
