Why Colour Management in the Textile Industry Marketing?
It is wanted that the qualitative and the controlled reproductions in the graphic media are provided by the Colour Management System. The subject of this work is to find out how great its influence is on the marketing of the textile industry. The fabrics of different colours were used as the investigated samples. The fabrics were image capturing by the digital camera and reproduced in two ways. The first one was without the application of CMS and the second one was with the application of CMS. By the colouristic analysis of the colours of the obtained reproductions one wanted to investigate how much the CMS can improve the reproduction process. The aberrations of all colour characteristics as well as the total colour difference _E*94 were analysed. With the investigation results one wants to contribute to the improvement of the reproduction of the products of the textile industry. It directly influences the quality of promotion of the new fashion novelties in the graphic media, especially in the fashion periodicals.
