(A^2) condensate and Dyson-Schwinger approach to mesons
The dimension 2 gluon condensate (A_muA_mu)=(A^2) may have a significant effect on quark-gluon interactions. Enhancement of these interactions at intermediate (Q^2 ~ 0.5 GeV^2) spacelike transferred momenta is needed in phenomenological Dyson-Schwinger studies, but until recently has not been explained in terms of possible QCD condensates. We have recently proposed that taking into account the dimension 2 gluon condensate (A^2) leads to a phenomenologically successful enhancement of the quark-gluon interaction.
