Implementation of Catia Macro-s for the Balancing Process of Large Rotor Wheels
This paper presents a novel method for the computational balancing of the rotor wheels. The method is based on a CAD modelling of the element (rotor wheel or a similar machine part) and subsequent calculation of the task-specified correction values, using the self-developed macros-based software. After the correction values have been read into the CAD model, the model can easily be modified by mouse-clicking only. The model and workshop drawings of the updated model, as well as the APT source which gives an NC-program by postprocessing, are then generated automatic ally. The complete procedure can be incorporated into the CATIA environment which enables fast and comprehensive solution process.
