Using common data acquisition in a database for optimal location and distribution problems
Finding optimal solution in heuristic problems is based on intuitive and empirical rules that intelligently move one solution point to another, according to the model criteria. It is well known that each heuristic problem is specific and optimal solution achievements must be treated, from the very beginning, independently. In this paper we propose the original idea of common input data acquisition. Common database can be easily transformed and used in more than one heuristic problem (location and distribution problems). we present the application of our own software, developed for creating such database. Our idea and our contribution are based on work concerning different heuristic problems where all the efforts are motivated for optimum time, resource and money savings.
