Croatian identity between Yugoslav past and European future

The author deals with Croatian identity issues in the context of the creation of Croatian state at the beginning of the 90s of the last century and the ongoing, expected integration into the European Union. He seeks to answer the questions -why Croats lack the identity of their own, how big the impact on its development the life within the Yugoslav community had (1918-1991) and how much the defence war against Serbian aggression in 1991 and the return to the European community of states.
