Vareš and Veovača, Triassic, Fe-Pb-Zn-Ba SEDEX deposits, related to the advanced Tethyan rifting, Central Bosnia
: Metallogeny of Dinarides is related primarily to the Alpine Wilson cycle, which commenced as early as Permian time. Thermal doming, extensive tectonics, graben formation and steady increase in magmatic activity up to Ladinian, produced numerous ore deposits. Vareš and Veovača represent typical SEDEX deposits, characteristic for Middle Triassic advanced rifting and submarine volcanism. Their geology, mineralogy and geochemistry differ significantly from the primarily subterrestrial deposits formed during an early intra-continental rifting phase in Permian. The paper deals with chemistry of ore-forming fluids which are basically modified sea water.
