Assessment of Inter-Floor Path-Loss Applying UTD Method
The main goal of this paper is presentation of a simple simulation of the propagation in indoor environment. This simulation refers to propagation between different floors, giving prediction of path loss for transmitted, diffracted and reflected rays separately. These results offer a possibility to determine particular decaying shapes for different ray types instead of composite signal decaying constant (the most common approach), what may be important for network design in some critical situations. Analyses included propagation between the transmitter and receiver distanced up to ten floors at frequency 1800 MHz and for vertical and horizontal wave polarization.
