Voltammetric environmental trace metal analysis and speciation

Charactristics of voltammetric techniques make them particulary well suited for automatic (thus low cost) in situ speciation measurements, with no or minimum sample change, i.e., under conditions that dramatically minimize contaminations by reagents or losses by adsorption on containers. Developments will be based on both microelectrodes and micro-total analytical systems for speciation requirements. Thus, in situ environmental voltammetry will progress in close relations with microtechnology.
