In its original incarnation, as a text based technology, the Internet meant freedom to the disabled, who were able to communicate as equals. New, sophisticated technologies such as multimedia have made it more difficult for designers to create web pages that are accessible to all. What will the situation look like in a year or two? How can we continue to address the needs of all?
