Review of cave-dwelling mammals and birds of the world, their ecological characteristcs and impact on cave ecology. For the first time some Dinaric karst animals like endemic the Dinaric vole and the European edible dormouse are listed together with famous guacharo oil bird or the Asian swiflets. Disscused were their economic importance and threats too.
