Digital printing with the increased ink layers

In order to achieve greater attractiveness of prints, it is sometimes not printed with standard ink layer, but with the ticker layer and higher ink density resulting in special effects. Today it is possible to print with the digital electrophotographic printing techniques. The printing possibilities with greater ink deposits than the standard one, on three usual printing substrates with two kind electrophotography printing techniques: Indigo offset and Xerox indirect printing technique have been invesigated in this article. The adapted test form was made for printing. The relationships Krel, La*b*, ∆ E and Dsp in relation to do ink layer thickeness have been ivesigated. All the prints are evaluated by the average observer. Based on all these data, the cognitions on printing possibilities with the ink layer which does not correspond to the standard ones are obtained.
