Nasality in children with cochlear implant
This presentation is just a part of our research of the specifics of the voice of children with cochlear implant and is related to the analyses of the nasality at the pronunciation of the vowel „ A“ Acquired results show that the percentage of nasality in voice is decreasing with the rehabilitation duration, i.e. development of listening control. This proves the importance, or the influence, of the rehabilitation on the development of listening, i.e. listening control, and automatically to the voice quality. From the stated, it is obvious how much are the acoustic characteristics of children with the cochlear implant closer to the voice of children with the normal hearing than to the voice of the children with the hearing aids.
