Estimation of some special colors rendered through various output profiles

An experiment was performed to estimate the color differences and appearance in images reproduced on two most common color photographic papers: Kodak and Fujicolor. The goal was to provide background information for the imaging professionals facing the dilemma of choosing the appropriate output for their images, in relation of the output profile used. From measured spectral values of test targets printed on Kodak and Fujicolor paper, it was found that Fuji paper achieves slightly larger gamut of colors. But, visual judgements of captured and printed images show that larger gamut is not always in correlation with expected perception of image quality.
