There are analysed (1) the characteristics of the system of academic education for the management and leadership field in civil engineering, (2) the required structure of knowledge for modern management and leadeship in costruction business, (3) the broader conceptual knowledge for that purpose general, (4) the structure and contents of broader conceptual knowledge in the basic study of civil engineering and in the postgraduate study in the fiel of organization, technology and management.
