Contribution to Sustainable Green Area in the Danube Region - with Physical Plans of Special Values in Croatia

It is not easy during preservation, planning and management of resources to coordinate ecological, economical and aesthetic requirements, if we wish landscape to be multifunctional, sustainable and competitive. With preservation, management and planning of the green area in Danube region we can contribute to sustainable development of the Danube. Nature park Kopački rit has a major green role in Croatia’ s Danube region. But we should not forget another area which is also important for sustainable development. Working out quality and applicable physical plans and landscape plans (European landscape convention 2002) contributes to sustainable development, and these plans were envisaged already in Agenda 21 of 1992, and ESDP of 1999. Furthermore, the international European project for Danube region (ARGE Donauländer) is highly commendable, because this project connects several Physical Plans of Counties in Croatia.
