Magnetic field influence on the low-temperature heat capacity of the CDW compounds TaS3 and Rb0.3MoO3
We report on new effects of magnetic field on the low-temperature heat capacity Cp of the quasi-1 D compounds o-TaS3 and blue bronze Rb0.3MoO3 . Cp is very sensitive to the application of a subsequent field B of a few 0.1T, which brings the system into a new, slightly higher energy state exhibiting hysteretic behaviour in magnetic field. Moreover, the new remanent zero-field state, very stable against field excursions for B<6T, can be annealed only at temperature close to TCDW.
