Identification of Ambiguity Components: Toward Understanding Manager Choice Under Ambiguity
This paper proposes that the individual choice behaviour under ambiguity is a function of complex interactions between ambiguity components (i.e. its attributes) under the contextual frame of unfolding individual choice behavior. Its purpose is to identify ambiguity components. Exploratory analysis performed on the data collected by surveying the students of J.J. Strossmayer University in Osijek, Department of Economics enabled us to identify the following ambiguity components: cognitive, affective and conative ones. The influence of these components on individual choice under ambiguity was investigated in a (non)comparative context. The possibility of differing between ambiguity avoiding and ambiguity seeking decision makers on the basis of preferred components was discussed as well.
