VH Acoustic Communication Algorithm for Underwater Control

Underwater acoustic communication in multipath environment encountered in shallow water is restricted mostly by signal fading. It degrades both signal detection and time synchronisation required for reliable acoustic communication. In this paper a new approach to time synchronisation and frequency diversity method is emphasised. A VH communication algorithm for obtaining reliable acoustic underwater link offering a flexible easy-to-implement decoding scheme is introduced.
