Tectonic Implications of new paleomagnetic results from Late Cretaceous rocks of the stable part of the Adria microplate
Adria is the largest lithospheric fragment in the Central Mediterranean region that has played a key role in the development of the surrounding mountain chains (Dinarides, Suuthern Alps, Apennines). Earlier available paleomagnetic data were suitable to characterize the displacment of Adria in a very general way and were not sufficient to supply satisfactory answers to some questions.
