Experimental investigation of wind loads on a cubical building
Wind loads on a cubical building were investigated in the boundary layer wind tunnel. When the ground surface in front of the building gets rougher, the air flow becomes more turbulent. Results: Statical wind loads decrease. Absolute values of cp pressure coefficients decrease on all sides. Dynamical wind loads increase. cp, rms values increase on all sides. Stagnation point moves up. Earlier reattachment on all sides, where separation takes place. Increase of energy at Strouhal frequency.
