Analysis of the chemical composition of wine by NMR spectroscopy
Wine authenticity is standing problem with analitical chemistry; in includes various form of adulteration such as enrichment by sugar, dilution by water and addition of chemicals. In the last decade NMr spectroscopy became common method for authentication of wines. NMR offers unique possibiltes for analysis of chemical composition in comparison with other analytical methods used for analysis of higly complex mixtures. In the case of wines it is fast, reproducible and needs only a very basic sample preparation.
