Tourism and transport in Croatia

The paper discusses a strong relationship between tourism and transport with emphasis on the current situation in Croatia. The paper examines the impact of the recent war operations as well as the appearance of new generating markets on the use of different means of transport that tourists use to come to tourism destinations in Croatia. It is stated that the road transport is the most important for Croatian tourism today. The same is expected in the future, especially if new and modern road infrastructure that should be completed in next few years is taken into account. Some problems that refer to current road connections as well as to transport within tourism destinations are also stated. The priorities that should be taken into account in order to optimize currently available tourism and transport resources are listed.
